The aim of the Tile and Clay Art Making Activity was to provide BID Semester 1 students with hands-on experience in exploring clay and paint as creative materials for art and interior design.
The activity aimed to develop students’ artistic expression, material-handling, and craftsmanship skills while encouraging experimentation with texture, colour, form, and composition and introducing them to surface-based art and its applications in interior spaces.
The Tile and Clay Art Making Activity provided students with an engaging platform to explore material experimentation and develop individual artworks on 30 cm × 30 cm tiles. Through hands-on creative practice, participants gained an understanding of texture, colour, form, composition, and surface expression while strengthening their artistic abilities and craftsmanship. The activity encouraged innovation, creativity, and the effective use of simple materials, highlighting the potential of handmade artworks as distinctive elements in interior design.
