Academic trip to ICGEB, New Delhi was organsied by AIB on 25th September 2026. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical research applications while encouraging scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and awareness of opportunities in higher education, research careers, and biotechnology entrepreneurship.
The aim of the industrial visit to the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, was to provide M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Tech. Biotechnology students with exposure to advanced research, scientific innovation, and interdisciplinary approaches in life sciences.
The visit to ICGEB, New Delhi, provided students with valuable exposure to the research environment and emerging developments in biotechnology and life sciences. It enhanced their understanding of how fundamental scientific concepts can be translated into innovative solutions for challenges in healthcare, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. The visit encouraged scientific inquiry, interdisciplinary learning, and research-based problem-solving while familiarizing students with potential pathways for advanced studies and professional careers in biotechnology.
